#19 Rustan Rigdon
INF
Rustan Rigdon Pronunciation
Head coach Tim Corbin on Rigdon: “Rooster brings a great disposition to the game—steady, even, and under control—focused and intentional in everything he does. He has the ability to play both the outfield and infield and is a true “baseball player.” He began the season in the outfield and ultimately finished it as our everyday second baseman. A clutch performer, he has a natural ability to elevate his game when the team needs it most. He started 50 games as a freshman and became an igniter for our offense as the season progressed. Rooster possesses tremendous baserunning instincts and is a switch hitter who understands and controls the strike zone. He stayed at Vanderbilt this summer to build strength and continues to grow physically. A conscientious young man, he has developed better routines over time and had his best academic semester. He will be a focal point of our offense and defense and is a true center-of-the-field player.”
