COACH CORBIN QUOTE – John became an impact pitcher for us in his second year and performed very well. He will continue to be used as a starter and asked to help lead a staff after gaining much experience in his first two years. John is a well-rounded individual who leads the team in the classroom, locker room and field. He is a tremendous representative of what our program is all about.

2016 – Selected by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 11th round of MLB Draft… Drew his second start of the season against Texas A&M 5/25 at SEC Tournament allowing five runs on eight hits with three strikeouts over 5.2 innings of no decision… Started his first game of the season vs. Auburn G2 5/19, earning his first win allowing three runs on six hits with a season-high six strikeouts over five-plus innings… Took the loss at Florida 5/15 out of the bullpen, allowing two runs on three hits over two innings… Gave up one unearned run over three innings of relief at Texas A&M 5/7… Recorded his second save of the year with three innings of work against Georgia 5/1, allowing one run on three hits and two walks… Struck out three and walked two in 2.1 innings of relief at Tennessee 4/23… Took his first loss of the season against Kentucky 4/17 allowing two runs on two hits over 2.1 innings out of the bullpen… Notched his first save of the season against Middle Tennessee 4/12 striking out the side in the ninth… Allowed two runs on two hits over 1.1 innings of relief at LSU 4/9… Made his season debut working a scoreless inning of relief vs. Lipscomb 4/5.

2015 – Tossed two scoreless innings in NCAA Regional championship vs. Radford 6/1, retired 28 straight batters over three outings with hit by pitch snapping streak… Perfect out of the pen over five innings to earn the win at SEC Tournament against Texas A&M 5/23 striking out five… Earned his second save in just his second relief outing with 3.2 perfect innings at Louisville 5/12 striking out five and combining with Ryan Johnson to four-hit the Cardinals… Pinned with the loss at Belmont 4/28 after allowing two runs on a career-high eight hits over 5.1 innings with five strikeouts… Took the loss at South Carolina 4/18 allowing three runs over five-plus innings with two walks and no strikeouts… Tossed two scoreless innings in start vs. Belmont 4/14 working out of a bases loaded, no out jam in the first… Turned in a career-high seven quality innings against Lipscomb 4/7 in a loss giving up two runs on five hits with no walks and seven strikeouts… Earned his second win of the year with a career-best six solid innings vs. Wofford allowing one run on four hits with eight strikeouts… Tagged for a career-high five runs, four earned, on seven hits over 3.2 innings of start at MTSU 3/24… Worked the final three innings of second win over Arkansas 3/13 in DH scattering three hits and striking out six to notch his first career save… Gave up a season-high five runs, three earned, on five hits over 4/1 innings of no decision at USC 3/7… Earned his first collegiate win against Illinois State 2/28 with 5.1 scoreless innings allowing just two hits with six strikeouts… Struck out a career-high nine batters over 4.2 innings of a no decision against Indiana State 2/21 in Port Charlotte, Fla. allowing one run on three hits… Made his first career start against Santa Clara 2/14 G1 allowing four runs on five hits and three walks over 3.2 innings of a no decision.

2014 – Made his College World Series debut with three solid innings of relief allowing one run on two hits with two strikeouts vs. Virginia 6/23… Allowed one run and recorded one out in loss to South Carolina 5/17… Recorded four outs and did not allow a run vs. SEMO 5/13… Turned in one scoreless inning and allowed two hits at Florida 5/10… Allowed one run over 3.1 innings vs. Louisville 5/6 walking two and striking out three… Recorded two outs in win over MTSU 4/15… Walked one and struck out one in a scoreless inning against Texas A&M 4/11… Tossed two scoreless innings allowing one hits and striking out two vs. UT-Martin 4/1… Tagged for a two-run homer at Belmont 3/18 in one inning on the mound… Pitched three innings of scoreless relief at MTSU 3/5 scattering three hits and fanning two… Turned in a strong performance out of the bullpen with 5.2 scoreless innings, walking three, striking out seven and allowing only one hit vs. Evansville 2/26… Retired the only batter he faced against UIC 2/23… Made his collegiate debut at Long Beach State 2/16 getting the one left-handed batter he faced to fly out to left field.

HIGH SCHOOL – Played for the Jesuit Tigers, where he was the team captain senior year… Team was ranked No. 1 in the nation at least once in all four years with the squad going to the state tournament all four years… High school teammates with Houston Astros’ first round pick Lance McCullers, Spencer Traynor (North Carolina) and Adrian Chacon (North Carolina)… Played summer ball for FTB Chandler.

ACADEMICS – Kilichowski was named to the 2015 Spring SEC Academic Honor Roll. He was also named to the 2013-2014 SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll. Kilichowski is majoring in economics.
