Started season as part of a four-person rotation at defensive tackle, but saw playing time diminish as injuries became a factor by midseason… Played in 10 of 12 games, missing the Ole Miss and Florida encounters to injury… Finished the season with nine solo tackles, including his first career tackle for loss in win over Temple… Contributed season-high three tackles in opener at Michigan.
2005
Enjoyed expanded role as part of four-player rotation at defensive tackle… Concluded season with eight primary tackles and 15 total tackles, both career highs… Contributed three tackles in road win at Arkansas, then topped defensive line corps with three tackles versus Richmond… Also netted three tackles against Middle Tennessee… Missed road games at South Carolina and Florida due to injury.

Played limited role at defensive tackle, seeing action in five games… Credited with a single tackle on the year… First collegiate action came against South Carolina.

Played for postgraduate squad at Fork Union Military Academy… Garnered 42 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss, three sacks and two fumble recoveries in 2003… Attended Fork Union after solid prep career at Atlantic Shores Christian School in Virginia Beach, Va… Named to Virginia Independent School First Team All-State defensive and offensive line in 2002 after recording 50 tackles, 16 tackles for loss and a pair of sacks… Team captain and defensive MVP of 2002 squad that won state championship… Averaged 11 points a game as two-year basketball starter at Atlantic Shores… Holds Atlantic Shores bench press record.
