High School: Was named to first-team TBCA All-State Jr. and Sr. years, Big 9 Conference Player of the Year, and Northeast Tennessee Player of the Year by the Bristol Herald Courier… Holds Daniel Boone High School[apos]s record for homeruns, RBIs, batting average, walks, slugging percentage for both single-season and career… Was a four-year letter winner and starter in baseball, two-year letter winner and starter in football, and two-year letterwinner in basketball… Was also the football captain his senior year and baseball captain his junior and senior year… Also played baseball for the Edge, Knoxville Yard and Bayside Yankees… Was a member of the Beta Club and National Honors Society and was ranked 10th in his class.
