Tennyson played in 11 of 12 regular-season games… Finished the year with an 18.8-yard average on five receptions… Started at wide receiver against Tennessee… Posted catches against Middle Tennessee, Nevada, Notre Dame, Kentucky and Ole Miss… Registered a career-long catch of 49 yards in victory over Middle Tennessee… Also had six rush attempts for 64 yards, including a long of 20 yards against Middle Tennessee.
2017
In his second year on campus, the speedy Tennyson developed into a valuable offensive weapon for the Commodores, utilized a both a running or receiving threat… Played in nine games as wide receiver… Finished the year with eight receptions for 116 yards and 63 yards on three reverses… Three of Tennyson’s 11 touches resulted in explosive plays of at least 25 yards… Posted multiple catches against Alabama, Kentucky and Missouri… Had receptions of 35 yards at Florida and 25 yards at Tennessee… First rush of the year resulted in 48-yard gain at Ole Miss.
2016
The speedy Tennyson was one of six true freshmen to see action, playing in eight games… Tennyson was effective on reverses from his wide receiver slot, having 28 yards on four carries… Longest rush was 13 yards against Tennessee State… He did not register a catch.
HIGH SCHOOL
Senior captain… Two-year starter for one of Richmond’s top private powers… Helped Benedictine to back-to-back VISAA Division I state titles in 2014-15, marking first such achievement in school history… As a senior, hauled in 38 passes for 698 yards and 11 touchdowns… Two-time VISAA Division I First Team All-State and All-Conference pick… As a junior, posted 41 catches for 836 yards and eight touchdowns… Also returned three kicks for touchdowns as junior… Produced 498 all-purpose yards as sophomore wide receiver at nearby Manchester HS.
