High School: A four-year letterwinner for coach Fred Thacher at Harwich High School…Led the Rough Riders to a 21-3 record, the South Shore League championship and a third straight appearance in the MIAA Division 3 South Sectional finals… Was 30-5 over his four-year career…Opened his senior campaign with a complete-game two hitter with 18 strikeouts…Struck out the first 12 batters he faced in an 11-0 victory over Sandwich, finishing with 14 in a seven-inning complete game… In the season finale, he struck out 24 in a 1-0 nine-inning victory on Memorial Day…Posted a 7-2 record and a 0.29 ERA as a junior… In 72.1 innings, he had 150 strikeouts, 28 walks and 28 hits… Led Lower Cape to an 11-7 record and the Cape Cod A Division Senior Babe Ruth title with a perfect 3-0 record… He struck out seven in a five-inning no-hitter in the quarterfinals and earned the win in the championship game…Was named All-State as a senior, Cape and Islands All-Star, a Cape Cod Times All-Star and Boston Herald All-Scholastic, while being recognized as one of the top 30 players in Massachusetts … Also lettered in golf for four years and basketball as a senior.
