In the first foray into a series on VUCommodores.com titled Roots, Charles Pulliam profiles Vanderbilt junior midfielder CJ Rhoades.
A native of Plainfield, Ind., Rhoads was voted as a team captain before the season and she has started every game in 2011.
The Roots series aims to capture the past of the student-athletes, coaches and staff, while also highlighting the present and peaking ahead to the future; all while familiarizing the viewer to the individual on and off the field.
