NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The annual rivalry matchup between Vanderbilt and Tennessee continues with a top-15 contest between the No. 11 Commodores and No. 12 Volunteers in Knoxville.
Friday’s match will be the second straight year both teams have been ranked inside the top 15. No. 11 Vanderbilt (16-5, 6-3 SEC) rose one spot in this week’s ITA team rankings after splitting its two matches last week, picking up a win over Ole Miss before dropping to No. 11 LSU. The Commodores continue to have a strong presence in the singles rankings, led by No. 17 graduate Célia-Belle Mohr. No. 25 junior Valeria Ray has won back-to-back singles matches and is followed by No. 33 senior Bridget Stammel, who owns a team-leading eight ranked singles victories. Both Ray and Stammel are the only Dores with 25 or more wins in singles play. Freshman Mia Yamakita rounds out the black and gold at No. 93.

Vanderbilt has gone 19-11 across singles and doubles when competing against Tennessee so far this season. The highlight against the Volunteers came on Oct. 21, 2025 when Mohr and Webster dismantled Aulia and Britez Risso 4-6, 6-4, 12-10 in Knoxville to claim the ITA Ohio Valley Doubles Championship.
