Scott Limbaugh, Thomas F. Roush, M.D., and Family Vanderbilt Men’s Golf Head Coach on the NCAA Athens Regional
“We have had a nice few weeks to prepare to begin this NCAA Regional. This is such a fun time of year, and I know our guys are ready to get going. Our goal is to be moment-driven, be light, and attack each day together. My request has been that we are elite responders, so we can quickly reset and focus on the next play. I like this golf course a lot, and I know it rewards patience along with good ball striking.“

It is the 19th overall NCAA Regional appearance for Vanderbilt and the 13th-straight season the Dores have earned a regional bid. Vandy has advanced out of the NCAA Regional round in each of the last 11 seasons. Overall, the Commodores have moved on to the NCAA Championship 14 times, 11 of which have come under Limbaugh’s direction.

The Commodores have captured a total of three NCAA Regional titles in program history. The Dores won back-to-back regional titles during the 2020-21 (Kingston Springs) and 2021-22 (Palm Beach Gardens) campaigns.

Vanderbilt posted a runner-up finish at last season’s NCAA Amherst Regional to advance to the NCAA Championships for the 11th-straight time. Vandy has had a golfer win the individual title at each of its last two NCAA Regional events, as Jackson Van Paris won the Amherst Regional in 2025 and William Moll finished first at the 2024 West Lafayette Regional. Moll and Van Paris are the only two Commodores in school history to earn medalist honors at an NCAA Regional.
