The Vanderbilt men’s tennis team signed one of the top-rated recruit classes for next year, according to TennisRecruiting.net this week.
The Commodores signed Odyssey Charter School senior Kristofer Yee this past winter, a blue chip athlete from Las Vegas, Nevada who is currently ranked No. 1 in the Southwest region, and seventh overall in the nation. His strengths on and off the courts impressed head coach Ian Duvenhage and assistant coach Jamie Hunt, who both feel their recruit will make an immediate impact on the program.
Yee’s signing, so far the only commitment for the Commodores, gives Vanderbilt 125 points and the No. 13 ranked recruit class in the 2012 Winter Rankings.
Stanford landed the top recruiting class, while SEC tennis powerhouse Georgia came in with the No. 4 ranked recruit class.
