NASHVILLE, Tenn. – No. 14 Vanderbilt dropped the series finale against No. 2 Arkansas, 7-3, on Sunday afternoon at Hawkins Field.
The Razorbacks scored five runs in the eighth to pull ahead after Vanderbilt led 3-2 entering the frame.
Vanderbilt rallied from an early 2-0 deficit to take a one-run lead in the bottom of the fourth off a three-run home run by Colin Barczi, his third long ball on the season.
Vandy starting pitcher Connor Fennell tallied a career-high 10 strikeouts over five innings, allowing just the two runs on three hits with one walk.
Vanderbilt stays at home and will host Western Kentucky on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
