TEAM NOTES
- UNLV won the coin toss and elected to defer. Justin Ball, Ethan Barr and Kane Patterson represented the Commodores for the coin toss
- Vanderbilt’s offense surpassed the 400-yard mark for the third consecutive game, finishing with 427 yards Saturday
- The receiving unit registered 337 receiving yards in tonight’s game, marking the most in a single game this season. It is also the second consecutive game the unit had 300+ receiving yards
- Attendance at Allegiant Stadium was 22,582
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
- In his first collegiate start, London Humphreys’ 56-yard touchdown reception from AJ Swann is Vanderbilt’s longest passing play on the season. Humphreys has a touchdown in three of his first four collegiate games
- Humphreys finished with 102 receiving yards, his second consecutive 100+ yards receiving game, off three catches
- Freshman Martel Hight opened the scoring with an interception return for a touchdown, his first career interception and first career touchdown
- Hight’s pick-six was the first by a Commodore since Randall Haynie vs. LSU (9.21.19).
- Graduate kicker Jacob Borcila is now 4-for-5 on the season and finished with a season-long 44-yard field goal in the fourth quarter to tie the game
- Borcila hit 3-of-4 field goals in tonight’s game, the last time a Commodore hit three or more field goals in a single game was when Joseph Bulovas made three against Ole Miss (11.20.21)
- AJ Swann went 16-for-35 for 296 yards and three touchdowns. This is the fourth game in Swann’s career throwing for 250+ yards and the third game this season with 3+ touchdowns
- Justin Ball grabbed his first career touchdown in the opening minutes of the fourth quarter
- Quincy Skinner Jr. caught his first touchdown of the season, the third of his career.
- Sophomore Trudell Berry registered a career-best nine tackles
- Senior Ethan Barr finished with a team-high tying nine tackles, a season-best
- BJ Diakite finished with a career-high six tackles, including a sack for the second time in his career
- Junior Miles Capers earned his first career sack in the first quarter
- Nick Rinaldi grabbed his first career interception with one minute left in the fourth quarter
