TEAM NOTES
- Tennessee won the toss and elected to defer. CJ Taylor and Marlen Sewell represented the Commodores at midfield
- Junior Sherrill‘s 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown marks just the third time Vandy has had a touchdown for 100 yards off the kickoff

- The Commodore offense posted 17 first-quarter points, the most against an SEC opponent since 2007 at South Carolina
- The Dores finished with 23 points, the second-most scored on Tennessee scored this season. Vandy also became the second team to eclipse 20 points on the Volunteers
- Vandy’s defense finished with multiple takeaways for the fifth time this season, the fourth in SEC play. The Dores have forced a turnover in nine of 12 games this year
- Vanderbilt finishes the regular season 6-6, the most wins since the 2018 campaign when the Dores finished 6-7
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
- Quarterback Diego Pavia ends the regular season with 716 rushing yards, which sets the Vanderbilt record for most rushing yards by a quarterback in a single season
- Junior Sherrill took the opening kickoff back 100 yards for a touchdown, which marks Vandy’s first kickoff return for a touchdown since Aug. 26, 2023 vs. Hawai’i. The 100-yard return is the longest by a Commodore since Sept. 20, 2014 vs. South Carolina. It was the first kickoff return for a score that Tennessee has given up since the 2021 season when Missouri accomplished the feat
- Sherrill finished with four catches, marking at least one catch in 23 consecutive games and multiple in eight straight contests
- Sherrill finished with 197 all-purpose yards, the second time in his career reaching the 100-plus mark
- CJ Taylor forced the fourth fumble of his career and Nick Rinaldi recovered the ball for the second time this season
- Sedrick Alexander posted his sixth rushing touchdown on the season, the 10th of his career
- Martel Hight made his second interception of the season becoming the first Commodore this year with multiple picks
- Langston Patterson finished with a career-high-tying 13 tackles, marking the second straight contest with 13 tackles and the fourth time this fall with 10-plus. Patterson has 13 tackles in each of the last two games, the most by a Commodore in a game this season
- Patterson led the defense for the fourth time of the season, the second consecutive game
- Bryan Longwell recorded 10 tackles in the contest, the third game of the season with at least 10
- Richie Hoskins tallied his fourth career touchdown, grabbing a 31-yard catch from Pavia which is good for the longest reception of his career
- Pavia’s throw to Hoskins for a score marks 17 passing touchdowns for the quarterback this year, putting him at No. 6 on the school’s single-season passing touchdown list
- Punter Jesse Mirco pinned three punts inside the 20, marking the second game this season hitting that mark
