  • Vanderbilt scored first vs. Auburn and has now opened the scoring in seven of nine games this season, winning five of those contests
  • With their sixth win, the Commodores became bowl eligible for the first time since 2018
  • Vanderbilt defeated both Alabama and Auburn this season for the first time since 1955
  • The Dores defense held the Tigers to seven points, fewest versus a Power 4 opponent since Kansas State in 2017 and fewest against an SEC opponent since Missouri in 2015

INDIVIDUAL NOTES:

  • Khordae Sydnor took down Payton Thorne in the first quarter for his fourth sack this fall, tied for most on the team. Sydnor has a sack in consecutive games for the second time this season
  • Miles Capers recorded his third sack, second in as many games
  • Jesse Mirco registered two more 60-plus yard punts to give him five as a Commodore
  • Mirco finished the game with eight punts for 423 yards. His average of 52.9 yards per punt is second-best by a Vandy punter (min. 5 att.) in a single game
  • Brock Taylor made his 16th field goal, a 31-yarder, to move into a tie for second-most field goals in a season by a Commodore
  • Randon Fontenette finished with a career-high-tying 2.5 tackles for a loss for the second consecutive game
  • CJ Taylor and Langston Patterson tallied seven tackles each to lead the defense
  • Taylor forced his first fumble of the season and the third of his career to seal the victory. De’Rickey Wright made the recovery with 1:36 to play – also his first of the year and third of his career
  • Steven Losoya made his 41st career start against Auburn, more than any individual on the roster
  • Diego Pavia became the 13th starting quarterback since 2004 to defeat both Alabama and Auburn in the same season
