– Vanderbilt started center Festus Ezeli, forwards Darshawn McClellan and Jeffery Taylor and guards Jermaine Beal and Brad Tinsley. This starting line-up combination is the first of the season.
– Beal leads the team with 48 career starts, including 43 straight. Taylor made the 13th start of his career while Tinsley made his 11th consecutive start and 11th of his career. Darshawn McClellan made his third career start, and the first of the season, while Ezeli made the third start of his career and the season.
– Leading scorer A.J. Ogilvy did not play today due to a foot injury. His status is listed as day-to-day.

First Half Notes:
– Vanderbilt won the opening tip
– Vanderbilt scored the games first four points
– With Jermaine Beal’s three-pointer at the 19:43 mark in the first half, Vanderbilt extended its streak of consecutive games (711) with a three-pointer, dating back to when the three-point line was established in the 1986-87 season. The Commodores streak ranks second only to UNLV (718) for the longest streak in Division I basketball. Princeton (608) is the only other team to make a three in every game played since the line’s inception.
– With the game tied 4-4 at the 18:43 mark, Vanderbilt went on an 11-0 run to take a 15-4 lead with 13:50 remaining in the first half. St. Francis countered the VU run with a 5-0 run of their own to cut the Vanderbilt lead to six (15-9) with 12:50 remaining.

– Leading 44-30 at the halftime intermission, Vanderbilt outscored St. Francis 15-8 in the first 7:30 of the second half, taking a 59-38 lead. The 21-point lead was the largest lead of the game.
– Leading 59-44 at the 10:38 mark in the second half, Vanderbilt went on a 9-0 run to push its lead to 24 points (68-44)

– With the win, Vanderbilt improved to 10-3 while St. Francis fell to 4-8.
– Vanderbilt is 1-0 all-time against St. Francis.
– Vanderbilt is now 1-1 all-time against teams from the Northeast Conference. Vanderbilt’s only previous meeting against a team from the NEC was against Monmouth at the Hawaii Pacific Thanksgiving Classic on Nov. 24, 2001. Monmouth won that meeting 81-67.

Individual:
Jermaine Beal scored 17 points, reaching double figures for the ninth time this season and 23rd time in his career. The Commodores are now 22-1 in which Beal scores in double-figures in his career, and 9-0 in 2008-09.
– Beal’s three three-pointers gave him three-pointers in four straight games for the first time in his career.
– Beal’s four steals was a career high. Beal has now swiped at least three steals in five games this season.
– Aaron Noll scored his first collegiate points in the win.
– Elliot Cole made his first collegiate field goal.
Charles Hinkle scored a career-high seven points. Hinkle’s previous high of five points came against Drake on Nov. 29, 2008.
