Pair of Dores Named to Watch List for Top Reliever

Miller Green, Alex Kranzler voted to Stopper of the Year Watch List

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt’s Miller Green and Alex Kranzler were selected to the NCBWA’s Stopper of the Year Preseason Watch List, the organization announced Tuesday.

Green and Kranzler, both juniors, are two of 104 players on the watch list including 17 from SEC schools.

Green, a lefty from Nashville, was second on the team with five saves last season. Green posted a 3.80 ERA over a team-high 20 appearances. He worked 23.2 innings, striking out 28. Over his first two seasons at Vanderbilt, Green owns a 3.44 ERA with eight saves over 40 appearances.

A native of Norwood, New Jersey, Kranzler finished his sophomore campaign with three saves and tallied a 3.62 ERA with 40 strikeouts to just seven walks. The right-hander went 6-1 over 18 appearances and finished the year with 37.1 innings of work.

Vanderbilt will enter the 2026 campaign ranked No. 23 in the D1Baseball poll. The Commodores open the season February 13-15 at the Shriners Children’s College Showdown in Arlington, Texas.
