NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The No. 8 Vanderbilt women’s tennis team capped its last regular season home match on a fantastic note, upsetting the No. 6 Florida Gators 4-1.

The Commodores continued their trend of success at the Currey Tennis Center, establishing their second undefeated home record in a row; as well as a 21-0 home win streak.

Campbell garnered VU’s second point as she put on a true performance on court one, defeating No. 5 Brooke Austin 6-3, 6-2. With her sixth win in a row; the sophomore now owns the Vanderbilt single season win record at 33 singles wins.

In her last regular season home match, senior No. 96 Casares powered through her match on five generating the third point for her team in a tremendous 6-1, 6-3 win over No. 41 Woolcock.

No. 100 Colton put up an extremely hard battle in her first set, being taken to a tiebreak on court three, but the junior fell to No. 24 Morgan 7-6(5), 6-0.

With the 3-1 advantage, Astra Sharma won her first three games in a row for the Commodores, taking her first set 6-3 over the 7th ranked Josie Kuhlman. The redshirt freshman clinched the match for the Commodores by handing Kuhlman her first SEC loss, 6-3, 6-4.

After dropping her first set 6-1 to No. 37 Keegan, the determined junior, No. 111 Altick, was forming a comeback at 4-all in the second set when the match was clinched on four.
