NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The No. 12 Vanderbilt women’s tennis team faces Middle Tennessee State on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m in the Currey Tennis Center. The match serves as the final tune-up for the Commodores before opening Southeastern Conference play.

“MTSU is a very well coached team,” Vanderbilt women’s tennis head coach Geoff Macdonald said. “It’s always been a really, really good rivalry. We’re looking forward to playing. It’s always a friendly, intense, but classy rivalry.”

Vanderbilt enters the match with a perfect 6-0 record. The `Dores are coming off a 6-1 win over East Tennessee State last Wednesday. Senior Caroline Ferrell and junior Courtney Ulery grabbed singles victories to maintain their perfect record on the season, while the team of Amanda Taylor and Courtney Ulery also won in doubles to keep a perfect record.
