NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The No. 11 Vanderbilt Commodores head to the 2015 ITA National Women’s Team Indoor Championship for the third time in a row. VU takes on the fifth seeded and ranked Cal Bears (2-0) Friday at 1 CT. The contingent heads to Charlottesville, Va. coming off a 7-0 victory over Memphis which extended their record to 3-0.

The tournament field consists of 16 teams who all punched their tickets two weeks ago as they won their respective ITA Kick-Off championship matches. The Commodores help comprise a total of 13 returning teams from last years competition and are one of five SEC schools who head to the Boar’s Head Tennis Club in hopes of bringing home the team title. Some key returners include last years champion Duke (4) and runner-up UCLA (1).
During last season’s tournament journey the commodores fell to No. 3 UNC in a 4-3 heartbreaker during the first round of tournament action. During consolation play the `Dores were defeated by Miami 4-3, and Clemson 4-0.
