NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt women’s golf senior Lynn Lim was named an Academic All-American by College Sports Communicators on Tuesday. Lim is just the second Commodore women’s golfer to ever earn CSC Academic All-America honors, joining Mallory Crosland who garnered recognition in 1998 and 1999.
Lim was tabbed a third-team selection in the women’s at-large category, one of just 45 student-athletes in Division I golf, beach volleyball, bowling, fencing, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, rowing or skiing to earn Academic All-America honors.
The recognition adds to a prolific career which makes Lim one of the most highly recognized Commodores in program history. Earlier this season, the senior was named the SEC Women’s Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year, becoming just the second Vanderbilt golfer to ever earn the award. She was also recently named the Dinah Shore Trophy Award winner by the LPGA and WGCA, recognizing her as the pinnacle of women’s collegiate golf on and off the course.
Lim posted a 3.965 GPA as a political science major and has never recorded a grade below A-minus in any course over her four years at Vanderbilt. A three-time WGCA Academic All-American, Lim will earn her fourth WGCA honor in the coming weeks. She has also received Dean’s List recognition in every semester during her time at Vandy.
On the course this season, Lim has put together a 72-stroke average with five top 25 finishes. She set the Vanderbilt school record with a round of 9-under-par 63 to open the Clemson Invitational. Lim went on to earn co-medalist honors, marking her first career win in the collegiate ranks.
Lim’s selection marks the 15th time a Commodore has earned Academic All-America honors in the women’s at-large category. She’s just the 11th individual to earn the at-large selection at Vandy. Lim is the first Commodore to be named to the women’s at-large list since tennis’ Christina Rosca in 2021.
