NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt track and field standouts Elizabeth Bailey, Falon Spearman, Lena Gooden, Tyla Lumley, Lily Kriegel and Claire Petersen have been named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, CSC announced Tuesday.

A graduate student majoring in engineering management, Bailey owns a perfect 4.00 GPA. She earned Second-Team NCAA All-America honors with a 15th-place finish in the javelin at the NCAA Outdoor Championships and placed eighth at the Southeastern Conference meet. The Eureka, Missouri, native holds the Vanderbilt school record in the event and has represented Team USA internationally. 

A senior majoring in medicine, health and society with a 3.91 GPA, Spearman earned Second-Team NCAA All-America honors in both the indoor and outdoor seasons. She qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 100- and 400-meter hurdles and holds Vanderbilt program records in the 100- and 60-meter hurdles. 

Gooden, a junior majoring in medicine, health and society with a 3.57 GPA, posted a 6.39-meter mark in the long jump to rank fourth in the region and 30th nationally, while adding a top-20 regional finish in the triple jump. The Manassas, Virginia, native is a two-time NCAA qualifier and reset her own outdoor program record in the long jump this season. 

Lumley, a graduate student majoring in finance, carries a 3.62 GPA. She recorded a time of 33:18.15 in the 10,000 meters to rank sixth in the region and 49th nationally, while also posting top-20 regional marks in both the 5,000 and 10,000 meters. The Brisbane, Australia, native was named 2026 SEC Indoor Track & Field Co-Newcomer Runner of the Year and holds the Vanderbilt school record in the 10,000 meters. 

Kriegel, a sophomore majoring in medicine, health and society and neuroscience with a 3.92 GPA, recorded a 9:05.28 in the indoor 3,000 meters to finish 10th in the region and added an eighth-place regional mark in the outdoor 5,000 meters (15:45.08). 

Petersen, a sophomore economics major with a 4.00 GPA, placed 17th in the region in the 6K during cross country (19:54.60) and posted a 9:24.64 in the indoor 3,000 meters to rank among the top 30 regionally. 

Bailey, Spearman and Lumley advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, with Academic All-America teams scheduled to be announced July 15.
