NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A pair of Vanderbilt men’s golfers earned All-America honors on Wednesday, as senior Wells Williams was a second-team All-America selection from both the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) and Golfweek, while freshman Will Hartman earned an honorable mention nod.
For Williams, it is his third All-America honor from Golfweek, while it is his second-straight GCAA All-America selection after he was named to the honorable mention team as a junior in 2024-25. Hartman picks up his first collegiate All-America selection from any publication.
Williams becomes the 14th Commodore in program history to earn multiple All-America selections from the GCAA. The senior has enjoyed a spectacular final campaign with the Dores in 2025-26. Williams led Vanderbilt in stroke average at 70.16 and posted a team-high seven top-10 finishes. The West Point, Mississippi, native had his best finish of the season at The Invitational at The Honors Course, where he tied for third with a score of 5-under 211. Williams had his score count in 35 of the 37 rounds he has played in this season. His score counted in 71 of his final 73 rounds as a Commodore and Williams had a streak of 57-straight rounds counted that spanned from his sophomore to senior years. Williams finished 10th in the PGA TOUR University rankings and earned his Korn Ferry Tour card at the conclusion of the 2026 NCAA Championship. He will make his professional debut at this week’s OccuNet Classic presented by Amarillo National Bank in Amarillo National Bank.
Hartman caps off his first year as a Commodore with an All-America honorable mention. The Marvin, North Carolina, native caught fire as postseason play began, as he was a co-medalist at the 2026 NCAA Athens Regional and tied for fourth at the NCAA Championship. The freshman had his score count in 18 rounds and posted a scoring average of 71.20 in his first season at Vanderbilt. His score of 14-under 199 set the school freshman record for lowest 54-hole total and score vs. par. He collected a 6&5 win over Arizona’s Filip Jakibcik in the quarterfinal match at the 2026 NCAA Championship, which marked the largest margin of victory by a Commodore in an NCAA Championship match.
