Last Time Out
• No. 21 Vanderbilt soccer shut out No. 4 Tennessee 2-0 on Sunday afternoon at the Vanderbilt Soccer Complex. It marks the program’s first-ever win against a top-5 opponent. Vanderbilt (12-3-1, 6-2-1 SEC) has now won five straight SEC games and six of the last seven. The Dores conclude the home portion of the regular season 8-0-1 at The Plex, unbeaten at home for the first time since 2018 (10-0-1)
• The Commodores struck early when freshman Reagan Pentz scored her first career goal in the ninth minute, finishing off a cross from Olivia Stafford with an assist also credited to Courtney Jones
• Vanderbilt added insurance late in the second half as junior Sydney Watts found the back of the net in the 82nd minute, converting a setup from Grace Freeman and Margo Matula for her team-leading 11th goal of the season. Keeper Sara Wojdelko anchored the Commodore defense with six saves en route to her seventh shutout of the year and 18th of her career. Vanderbilt now has 10 clean sheets, the most since 2019 when the program had 11 shutouts
