  • Vanderbilt won the toss and elected to defer. Four captains represented the Commodores at midfield: Diego Pavia, Langston Patterson, Yilanan Oauttara and Khordae Sydnor
  • The win marks the fourth-straight season Vandy has started the season 2-0
  • Under head coach Clark Lea, the Commodores are 17-0 when holding a lead at the end of the third quarter
  • The 44-20 final score represents the largest margin of victory after trailing by 10 points or more in at least the last 80 seasons for the Dores
  • It is Vanderbilt’s first comeback of 10 or more since Northern Illinois in 2022

  • Graduate Diego Pavia’s two passing touchdowns vs. Virginia Tech marks his third-straight game with multiple scores through the air
  • It is Pavia‘s 10th game at Vanderbilt with multiple passing touchdowns
  • After generating 254 yards of total offense, Pavia now has seven games with 250 total yards or more. It is his first time doing so in back-to-back games since Georgia State and Missouri last season
  • Pavia moves to No. 10 in program history for career passing touchdowns with 25
  • Junior Sedrick Alexander scored in back-to-back contests for the first time since producing a touchdown in three straight games to open the 2024 season
