NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt travels to Philadelphia on Saturday to start conference play at Temple. First draw is at 11 a.m. CT with action airing live on ESPN+.
FIRST DRAW
• The Commodores and Owls will be meeting for the 10th time with Vanderbilt trailing Temple 7-2 in the all-time series. The two sides met three times last season with the Owls taking two of three.
• Vandy is riding a four-game win streak while Temple has won two of their last three.
• Gabby Fornia and Bri Gross were named to the AAC Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.
LAST TIME OUT
• Vanderbilt won 13-11 over Coastal Carolina on Sunday behind a hat trick from Karlie Bucci.
• The Chanticleers led by as many as three goals in the first half but the Commodores outscored Coastal 10-5 in the second half to grab the win.
MIDSEASON ALL-AMERICANS
• Fifth-year senior Gabby Fornia and senior Bri Gross were each named to the ILWomen Midseason All-America list as honorable mentions on Thursday.
• Gross, who was included on the ILWomen Preseason All-America team, leads Vanderbilt in goals and draw controls and is second in points.
• Fornia is Vanderbilt’s all-time assists leader and ranks second nationally this season in assists and assists per game, leading the AAC in both categories. She also ranks second nationally for career assists among active players with 155.
CHASING MILESTONES
• Melissa Hawkins is tied for second in Vanderbilt history with 121 caused turnovers. The record belongs to Sasha Cielak with 133. Hawkins is sixth in career ground balls at 134.
• Bri Gross is second in Vandy’s record books with 211 draw controls. Ally Carey holds the record with 263.
• Gabby Fornia’s 232 career points is third-most in Commodore history. Margie Curran holds the record with 244.

• 5th-year senior Gabby Fornia broke the program’s career assists record on March 10, 2021 versus Kennesaw State.
• She enters play Wednesday with 155 career assists, ranking second among active players in NCAA D-I.
• On February 19 vs. Notre Dame, Fornia became just the fifth Commodore to reach 200 career points.
• Fornia ranks second nationall in assists and assists per game and leads the AAC in both categories.
