NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt hosts Coastal Carolina on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Vanderbilt Lacrosse Complex with action streaming live on YouTube.

• Vanderbilt is participating in the HEADstrong Foundation’s Game Hair Havoc campaign on Sunday, raising awareness and money for families overcome by cancer.

• The Commodores and Chanticleers will be meeting for the second time. Vandy won the first meeting 11-7 in 2017.

• Vandy has won three straight games entering the weekend. Coastal has won its last two contests. The Commodores are 3-1 at home while CCU is 2-3 on the road.

• Bri Gross is the reigning AAC Midfielder of the Week. Gross totaled nine ground balls and eight draw controls with a pair of goals over Vandy’s two games last week. Gabby Fornia was named to the AAC Weekly Honor Roll after tallying 10 points. 

• Vanderbilt won 14-8 at Towson on Wednesday. Paige Gunning made 11 saves in the win and Bri Gross and Maddie Souza each recorded hat tricks.

• The Commodores scored four unanswered goals after trailing 2-1 in the first quarter to take the lead and never turned back. Vandy outscored Towson 5-2 in the second and third quarters and held off the Tigers in the final period.

• Melissa Hawkins is third in Vanderbilt history with 119 caused turnovers. The record belongs to Sasha Cielak with 133. Hawkins is sixth in career ground balls at 132.

• Bri Gross is second in Vandy’s record books with 206 draw controls. Ally Carey holds the record with 263.

• Gabby Fornia’s 225 career points is third-most  in Commodore history. Margie Curran holds the record with 244.
