NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Senior midfielder Bri Gross was named the American Athletic Conference Midfielder of the Week on Monday after leading Vanderbilt to wins over Colgate and Hofstra last week.
Gross contributed at both ends of the field. She had a goal, two assists, six ground balls, six draw controls and three caused turnovers against the Raiders on Wednesday and followed with a goal, an assist, three ground balls, two draw controls and a caused turnover against the Pride on Sunday.
Gross leads the Commodores with 17 goals, 34 draw controls, 15 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers this season.
Fifth-year senior Gabby Fornia earned a spot on the AAC Weekly Honor Roll after pacing the Vanderbilt offense in both games with 10 total points. She scored twice with four assists against Colgate and scored two more times with two assists at Hofstra.
The Commodores play at Towson at 11 a.m. CT on Wednesday.
