NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Scotty Pippen Jr.’s resume continues to grow as he added All-District accolades from both the National Association of Basketball Coaches and the U.S. Basketball Writers Association. The NABC is voted on by coaches, while the USBWA is comprised of media members.
Earlier this season, Pippen earned First Team All-SEC honors from the conference’s coaches, as well as from the Associated Press. The junior guard from Los Angeles, California, leads the SEC with 19.9 points per game and has four games with 30-plus points this season.
Pippen ranks 12th in program history with 1,517 career points and fifth in career scoring average at 17.2 points per game. His 1.58 career steals per game are good for fifth in Vandy history, while his 4.2 assists per contest rank him fourth for career assists.
The Commodores are in action Sunday when they host Dayton at 2 p.m. for the second round of the NIT.
