Running With the Sun Devils

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt continues its road trip against Arizona State at 5 p.m. CT on Tuesday at the Sun Devil Lacrosse Stadium.

The Commodores (4-0) had their most recent matchup against Denver be canceled because of snow and freezing temperatures.

The Commodores are off to their best start since 2008, when they began the season 5-0.

In their last outing, the Commodores defeated Louisville, 9-8, in overtime for their second straight road win of the season. The game-winning goal came off the stick of Emily Mathewson with four seconds to spare in overtime. Mathewson finished the game with two goals and has scored in every game so far for the Dores, with multi-goal performances in her past two games.

Lily Argyle earned her third win of the season after posting her best performance in net in her Commodore career. She posted a career-high 14 saves in the contest.

The Dores have been dominant on both sides of the field and find themselves ranked third in the nation in assists per game (9.50), third in caused turnovers per game (15.25) and eighth in points per game (25.25).

Sunday’s matchup is set to be broadcast through the Pac-12 Digital Stream.
