Dore Jam, Vanderbilt Athletics’ free Fan Day scheduled this Saturday, will offer more participating Commodore teams, food trucks and live music to an array of traditional activities.

The 16th annual Dore Jam, which attracts thousands of Commodore fans to campus for an afternoon of autographs, photographs and family fun, will be held Saturday from 4-6 p.m. It will be held for the fourth straight year in the Vanderbilt Multipurpose Facility located between 25th Avenue South and Natchez Trace.

The event will also include a new public entrance. Commodore fans will enter the indoor facility off Children’s Way, which will be closed to accommodate another addition to the event – food trucks from Pig N Pit, A Little Italian and Blue Monkey Shaved Ice.

Free parking is available close to the new entrance: West Garage located at the corner of 25th Avenue South and Children’s Way and surface lots 73, 74, 75 and 73A off Natchez Trace.

Head coach Derek Mason and the entire Vanderbilt football team will be on hand to greet fans and sign 2017 schedule posters that will be distributed free at the entrance.

Women’s soccer head coach Darren Ambrose and his Commodore squad also will be on hand to sign schedule posters.

For the first time, Dore Jam also will feature live music from The Remedies, considered among Music City’s top cover bands.

“Dore Jam is always a great time for the entire family. This year, we hope the additional activities only expand upon the fun for everyone,” Senior Associate Athletics Director Martin Salamone said. “We look forward to welcoming a full house of fans looking for autographs, lots of activities, good music and great food.”

The event also features an array of activities for young fans, including inflatables and sport-related activities, such as obstacle courses, soccer skee ball, football toss and kicking stations, a Giant Jenga zone and Pop-a-Shot basketball.

Official mascot Mr. C, Commodore spirit leaders, face painters and balloon artists will also be on hand to entertain young fans. A Vanderbilt-themed photo booth also will be available.

Fans can purchase season tickets to Vanderbilt’s home schedule at the event. Ticket packages start at $178 for the team’s seven-game home slate.

Staff from Barnes & Noble at Vanderbilt will be on-site with the latest Vanderbilt Athletics gear and merchandise.
