The Vanderbilt women’s basketball program and the National Commodore Club will host the second installment of Chalk Talk on Sunday. The event will begin at 1:15 p.m. — 45 minutes before the tipoff of Vanderbilt’s game against Duke — and will be held in Admiral’s Room in Memorial Gym.

Vanderbilt assistant coach Joy Cheek will be the featured coach and will talk about Sunday’s game and the outlook for the season. Charlie Mattos, the voice of the Commodores, will interview Cheek.

Cheek was a standout at Duke during her playing career. She was a four-year letterwinner for the Devils from 2007-2010 and scored more than 1,000 career points. She played in 137 contests and averaged 8.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.2 steals.

Cheek, a native of Charlotte, N.C., performed an internship in the Office of the Vice President and Economic Policy at the White House in the summer of 2009.
