The rosters for the Black & Gold Series have been set after team captains Philip Pfeifer and Zander Wiel picked their respective squads last night.
Pfeifer will lead the Black squad into the series and get the nod on Friday afternoon at Hawkins Field at 4 p.m. Wiel and the Gold team will turn to right-hander Carson Fulmer on Friday in the opener. Saturday’s game is set for 2 p.m. with the Black team sending Walker Buehler to the bump against Gold junior right-hander Tyler Ferguson. The third and final game is set for Wednesday (Nov. 19) at 4 p.m. with the pitching match-up yet to be determined.
Full rosters for both teams are below.
Admission to the Black & Gold Series is free and fans are encouraged to attend all three games. The Commodores will leave for the Dominican Republic on Friday, Nov. 21 for a seven-day trip that will see the defending champs play seven games against Dominican teams on the trek.
