When the Vanderbilt soccer team arrived in New Jersey last month to play Rutgers, the team hopped off the plane and headed out to dinner the night before the game. Afterwards they were surprised with tickets to a game between the New York Red Bulls and Montreal Impact.
For many members of the team, which has representatives from 16 states, it was their first time being at an MLS game. Thanks to video by assistant coaches Sebastian Vecchio and Christine Husni, parts of the surprise trip were caught on tape.
