Terrell, Cage to Travel to Germany for Nations Cup 7/21/2005 Vanderbilt men’s basketball players Julian Terrell and Dan Cage have been selected as members of an American college basketball team competing in the Nation’s Cup in Munster, Germany next week. The tournament highlights a two-week ministry outreach trip sponsored by Phil Waldrep Ministries and S.C.O.R.E. International, that features at least six games in three different German cities. The 11-player squad will take part in the international tournament from July 29-31, competing against teams from Russia, Germany, and Turkey. The team also will compete in the Walter Tigers (Tubingen) Invitational Tournament against the Tunisia national team and an all-star squad from the U.S. Military. Other college players joining Terrell and Cage include Steve Allen (Clemson), Renaldo Balkman (South Carolina), Bam Doyne (Ole Miss), Todd Galloway (Florida State), George Lemonakis (Tennessee Temple University), Stephen McDowell (South Carolina), Sam Perry (Clemson), Anthony Richardson (Florida State) and Piotr Stelmach (Mississippi State). Earlier this summer, current Commodores Alex Gordon and Shan Foster were two of nine players from the Southeastern Conference who traveled to China, playing multiple basketball games around the country.
