FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The sixth-ranked Vanderbilt women’s tennis team opens Southeastern Conference play this weekend against the 74th-ranked Lady Razorbacks of Arkansas on Saturday, Feb. 14, at 1 p.m. CT, inside the Dills Tennis Center.

The Commodores (6-1) are coming off their eighth trip to the USTA/ITA National Team Indoor Championships last weekend, where they advanced to the quarterfinals and defeated a top 20 opponent in UCLA.

The Lady Razorbacks (5-0) are playing their sixth-consecutive home match. They have only dropped a total of five team points in their first five matches, all against unranked opponents.

Vanderbilt is led by the nation’s second-ranked doubles tandem of seniors Kelly Schmandt and Aleke Tsoubanos. The duo is 17-2 overall this year and 6-1 in dual-match play. They are joined in the lineup by the 28th-ranked pairing of juniors Audra Falk and Annie Menees, who are 21-1 and have not dropped a match since October.

In singles, Falk leads four ranked Commodores at No. 39 in the ITA poll. She is joined by freshman Amanda Fish (66), sophomore Ashley Schellhas (77) and Schmandt (94). Both Fish and Schmandt are undefeated in the dual-match season.

Following Arkansas, Vanderbilt will take a one-week hiatus from conference action when Clemson and Iowa come calling next weekend at the Currey Tennis Center. The Commodores will return to the SEC over the last weekend of February with a trip to the Magnolia State to take on Ole Miss and Mississippi State.
