New Game Day Experiences Coming to FirstBank Stadium This Season

Vandy United’s long-term vision pays off with new amenities, services and seating that match Vanderbilt football’s on-field growth mindset

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A new season and newfound momentum mean there are more reasons than ever to watch Clark Lea and the Vanderbilt Commodores take the field at FirstBank Stadium this fall. Fresh off a bowl championship season now spotlighted in Netflix’s Any Given Saturday, the Commodores are carrying that energy forward into 2025. And for fans fueling a new era of Vanderbilt football, new stadium amenities, services and seating mean experiencing game days like never before.

Vanderbilt opens the 2025 football season against Charleston Southern on Saturday, Aug. 30. Fans visiting FirstBank Stadium for the home opener will see, feel and even taste Vanderbilt Athletics’ ongoing commitment to turning game days into lasting memories.

South End Zone Facility Debuts

A cornerstone of Vandy United’s long-term vision, as part of the university’s historic Dare to Grow campaign, completion of the revitalized south end zone marks a turning point.

  • Six new premium seating areas: Surging interest helped sell out five of the six new offerings, with only a limited number of Commodore Club seats remaining.
  • Team store: Over 1,500 square feet of Vanderbilt gear and paraphernalia, everything you need to proudly rep the black and gold from summer heat through bowl season.
  • Mother’s room, sensory room and guest services room: Already the first SEC school to offer certified sensory rooms in its athletic venues, these additions are the next step in our commitment to serving all fans who visit FirstBank Stadium.
  • Fully connected concourse: This season marks the completion of the circular concourse of the stadium, easing movement and bringing fans together.
  • Enhanced visual spectacle: A new video board and ribbon board with over 3 million pixels and 281 trillion colors lets fans relive the best moments. Additionally, fans in the Commodore Club will enjoy two 16-by-19 foot LED video walls.

Please note, as the final touches are applied to the South End Zone project during the initial portion of the season, there will be a temporary paved access road along Jess Neely.

More Immersive Star Walk

Even our traditions dare to grow. One of the most memorable parts of any game day, the Star Walk takes on a new look and feel this season.

Approximately two and a half hours prior to kickoff, the Commodores will now walk down Natchez Trace beginning near the outdoor track and pass right through the heart of Vandyville as they arrive at their new locker room—all 6,800 square feet of it—in the stadium.

Expanded Concessions Menu

The stadium staples you know and love aren’t going away. We’re just adding more options and more places to stock up this season.

Additional concessions stands and new grab-and-go markets make it easier to get from your seat to the tasty grub of your choice and back without missing the action. And new menu items, from burgers and fries and chicken tenders to hot chicken and birria tacos, will make in-game dining something to look forward to each week.
