The Cincinnati, Ohio native has led the women’s tennis team in community service hours throughout her career as a Commodore. Macavei served as Vanderbilt’s Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) President this year, committing over 25 hours alone to before and after-school volunteer work with Jones Paideia Elementary School. In addition, she’s completed service work with SAAC’s Second Harvest Food Drive, hosting tennis clinics for Love Serving Autism, volunteering with Metro Nashville Public Schools’ Book Buddies club, which fosters literacy among MNPS students at the Juvenile Detention Center and participated in Morgan’s Message Walk & Chalk to raise mental health awareness for student-athletes. She also volunteered her time at the Joe Nichols Home Run Event to raise funds and awareness for a new “Home Run Park” that is fully accessible for individuals with disabilities.

Macavei has tallied 11 wins across singles and doubles as a senior this season, helping the Dores reach as high as No. 11 in the ITA team rankings. Vanderbilt delivered a Senior Day shutout over Arkansas, 7-0, on April 4 in Macavei’s final regular season home match. In total, Macavei owns 41 singles wins while also generating 40 in doubles play.
