HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — Lynn Lim fired a bogey-free back nine while sinking two birdies on the day to card an even-par second round at Long Cove Club for the Commodores on Tuesday. She sits tied for 24th individually through 36 holes at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate.

“I was really happy to see Lynn come out and play a solid round today,” said head coach Greg Allen. “She struggled in Melbourne a couple of weeks ago, so it’s nice to see her hard work pay off this week.”

Vanderbilt finished the round at an 11-over-par 295. The Dores head into Wednesday’s final round in 13th place with a 17-over total.

Tillie Claggett, tied for 44th, notched a 3-over-par 74 on Tuesday. Celina Sattelkau was also 3-over par on the day and sits tied for 58th individually with 18 holes to play. Also tied for 58th overall is fellow Commodore Virginie Ding. Ding and Ava Merrill each completed the second round at 5-over-par 76.

Less than half of the teams in the field turned in 5-over-par or below rounds on a challenging Tuesday. Vanderbilt sits in a pack of five teams looking to grab a top-10 tournament finish. The Dores are seven strokes behind 10th-place Kentucky with 18 holes remaining.

“This golf course is probably the most demanding we play all year and requires all aspects of your game to be dialed in,” said Allen. “We haven’t had our best stuff the last two days, but we believe we have what it takes to go out tomorrow and win the day.”

Vanderbilt will step onto the tee box at 9:20 a.m. CT alongside SEC foes Mississippi State and Alabama for tomorrow’s final round. Golf Channel will broadcast again from 1:30-4:30 p.m. with coverage also streaming on Peacock. Live scoring for the event can be found on Golfstat.
