NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Sophomore women’s tennis player Alex Leatu was honored by USTA Colorado recently, as she was selected as the 2011 Rosemary Fri Award recipient.
The award is given each year to Colorado’s outstanding collegiate female player.
Leatu, a native of Littleton, Colo., was named last year’s ITA Ohio Valley Region Player to Watch after posting an 18-16 record her freshman year. She finished the year ranked No. 73 in singles and was named to the All-SEC Second Team.
Leatu will be presented her award at the Colorado Tennis Hall of Fame Gala & Annual Awards Celebration on January 27, 2012 in Denver.
