Vanderbilt senior captain Rhys Johnson was named to the SEC Men’s Tennis Community Service Team, as announced by the conference Tuesday, April 19th.
Johnson, an ITA All-American and six-time member of the Vanderbilt Dean’s list, adds this service accomplishment to his repertoire for his works with the Vanderbilt Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
The Perth, Australia native has spoken to preschool classes about the importance of education, as well as life as a student-athlete. Through SAAC, Johnson helped plan and host the department’s annual Christmas party and field day event for elementary schools around Nashville.
