Holcomb Earns SEC Honors

Braden Holcomb tallied 11 hits including three home runs

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Junior Braden Holcomb is this week’s SEC Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

In five games last week, Holcomb hit .579 (11-for-19) with five extra-base hits and 10 RBI. Holcomb belted three home runs and a pair of doubles to slug 1.158. He also scored nine times and worked three walks in 19 at-bats.

Holcomb had four multi-hit games and helped power Vandy to four consecutive run-rule wins.

The Commodores have one more home game to conclude this six-game homestand. Vandy hosts Evansville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday before heading out west to compete in the Live Like Lou Las Vegas College Classic next weekend.
