NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Vanderbilt baseball team is set to continue its fall training slate when the team travels to North Carolina next week for a pair of exhibitions with North Carolina and Richmond.
Game one of the weekend will take place Oct. 15 in Chapel Hill at Boshamer Stadium with first pitch slated for 2:30 p.m. CT. The matchup between the Commodores and Tar Heels will be open to the public including free admission.
Game two against Richmond will be hosted in Cary at the USA Baseball National Training Complex on Oct. 16 which is scheduled for a 9 a.m. CT start. Saturday’s matchup will also be open to the public with a $10 entry fee at the gate.
Following the weekend in North Carolina, the Commodores will return home to prep for the team’s annual Black and Gold Series. The series will begin Oct. 22,as game one is set for a 6 p.m first pitch.
Game two of the series is scheduled for Oct. 24, beginning at 1 p.m. while an if necessary game is tentatively slated for Oct. 26 at 6 p.m. Admission will be free for every game of the Black and Gold Series.
Each of the contests will be to the public and will also include an audio broadcast live on WNSR 95.9/560, the Vanderbilt GameDay App and VUCommodores.com. Updates will be posted on VUCommodores.com and Vanderbilt baseball’s Twitter and Instagram pages as well.
