Commodores take on Old Dominion on Saturday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt visits Old Dominion at noon on Saturday with action streaming live on Monarch Media.

• The Commodores and Monarchs met twice in 2021 with Vandy winning both contests by a combined score of 35-7.
• Vanderbilt fell to #10 Florida, 16-8, at home. Seven different Commodores scored led by Maddie Souza with a pair of goals.
• Fifth-year senior Gabby Fornia and senior Bri Gross were each named to the ILWomen Midseason All-America list as honorable mentions.
• Gross, who was included on the ILWomen Preseason All-America team, leads Vanderbilt in goals and draw controls and is second in points.
• Fornia is Vanderbilt’s all-time assists and points leader and ranks second nationally this season in assists and assists per game, leading the AAC in both categories. She also ranks second nationally for career assists among active players with 163.
• Melissa Hawkins is second in Vanderbilt history with 126 caused turnovers. The record belongs to Sasha Cielak with 133. Hawkins is sixth in career ground balls at 141.
• Bri Gross is second in Vandy’s record books with 228 draw controls. Ally Carey holds the record with 263.
• Gabby Fornia and Melissa Hawkins became Vanderbilt’s all-time games played leaders this season with 74 appearances.
