NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A veteran Fresno State women’s tennis team topped Vanderbilt, 4-0, Sunday to win the ITA Kick-Off Weekend.
The Bulldogs are known for strong doubles play and took that point, then won singles matches at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 5 to claim the victory. All other contests were abandoned at that point.
The Commodores, long known for improbable comebacks, appeared to gain some momentum during the second sets but could not gain the necessary traction against the older, internationally-dominated Fresno squad.

Wake Netters Edge Denver
