Franklin attends ESPN "Car Wash"

July 27, 2011

Vanderbilt Head Coach James Franklin was on ESPN’s campus in Bristol, Ct., on Wednesday for what was dubbed a “Car Wash.” However, Franklin’s car is no cleaner today than it was the day before because ESPN’s “Car Wash” does not involve any Turtle Wax or Armor All. Instead, it includes a heavy dose of interviews with ESPN personalities on several shows and digital platforms.

Franklin’s day began at 10 a.m. CT on Tuesday and included a live interview on ESPNEWS, a live chat on ESPN.com and multiple taped segments including College Football Live, ESPN Rise and the Scott Van Pelt Radio Show just to name a few.

In case you missed it, you can listen to Franklin’s podcast with ESPN college football writer Ivan Maisel here (fast forward to 53:08 mark) and review his live chat with SportsNation here.

Franklin was joined on ESPN’s campus by fellow SEC coaches Nick Saban, Bobby Petrino, Mark Richt, Joker Phillips and Les Miles. The remaining six SEC coaches attended the “Car Wash” on Monday. View photos of Franklin’s day below.
