Fornia, Gross Earn National Recognition

Gabby Fornia and Bri Gross named All-America

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Fifth-year senior Gabby Fornia and senior Bri Gross were both named All-America honorable mention by USA Lacrosse Magazine. Gross also earned second-team All-Region honors from the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association.

Fornia and Gross were each named first-team All-American Athletic Conference after impressive 2022 seasons.

Fornia led Vanderbilt in assists and ranked third nationally. She broke her own program record for single-season assists (56) in the AAC championship game and owns the Vanderbilt records for career assists and points. ILWomen recognized Fornia as a midseason All-America honorable mention.

Gross led the team with 74 draw controls and was second in goals (31), points (41) and ground balls (32). She was also included on ILWomen’s midseason and preseason All-America lists as an honorable mention. This is her second consecutive season with IWLCA All-Region honors.

The duo are Vanderbilt’s first All-Americans since Ally Carey in 2012.
