NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt baseball will play two exhibitions in the upcoming weeks with fall training getting underway Saturday at Hawkins Field.
The Commodores will visit Rutgers on Saturday, Oct. 21, and will host Wake Forest at Hawkins Field on Saturday, Oct. 28.
The Rutgers game is set for an 11 a.m. CT start while the Wake Forest exhibition will start at noon.
Vandy begins its “Road to Omaha” Saturday, Oct. 14, as fall training officially gets underway. Full-squad training sessions will take place during the week, typically Tuesday through Friday, and will be open to the public.
Entry to Hawkins Field will be via the outfield gate located behind right field at the corner of Jess Neely Drive and 25th Avenue. Due to ongoing construction, spectator seating will only be available in the outfield bleachers for all training sessions. The gate will be open each weekday at approximately 4 p.m. This is subject to change at the discretion of baseball staff and university personnel.
Updated scrimmage dates and times will be posted as they become available on the program’s X/Twitter account, @VandyBoys.
Vanderbilt will wrap up its fall schedule with the three-game David Williams Fall Classic (Nov. 10, 12, 16).
