NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Vanderbilt swim team will travel to Florida for fall training while facing Florida Gulf Coast in a dual meet on Friday at the FGCU Aquatics Complex in Fort Myers, Florida, at 3 p.m. CT.
The Commodores enter Friday’s meet coming off of a second-place finish in the Grizzly Relays hosted by Oakland University where they tabbed four top finishes.
The Dores hold a 1-2 overall record after dropping their season opener to Alabama, 146-105, followed by falling short to Oakland in a tri-meet 176-118. The Commodores picked up their first victory taking down Milwaukee, 207-81, in the tri-meet in Michigan.
Vanderbilt faces a 4-0 Florida Gulf Coast team. Friday’s meet with mark the team’s first home meet of the season and the first meeting between the two teams.
