Everett to be remembered Saturday at Vanderbilt Stadium

Sept. 9, 2016

Nashville, Tenn. – Donny Everett will be remembered prior to Vanderbilt’s game against Middle Tennessee on Saturday.

Everett’s parents – Susan and Teddy Everett – will present the Anchor during pregame festivities on the field. The Everetts will be recognized from the field during the break between the first and second quarters for the Donny Everett Scholarship, which was started this academic year in Donny’s honor. The Commodores will wear No. 41 decals on their helmets this week against the Blue Raiders in honor of Everett.

Everett tragically drowned last spring the day before the Commodores opened play in the Nashville NCAA Regional. Everett was the 2015 Tennessee Gatorade Player of the Year and one of the highest rated players in the nation to attend college. He turned down the Milwaukee Brewers as a 29th round draft pick to join Vanderbilt.
