About the Commodores: The Commodores feature three student-athletes ranked in the ITA Preseason Top 125 for singles – Anna Ross (No. 40), Holly Staff (No. 64) and Anessa Lee (No. 76). In doubles, the pairing of Ross and Staff earned a preseason ranking of No. 7.
Last Time Out: At the Debbie Southern Furman Fall Classic, Freshman Bridget Stammel and Sonya Macavei won their respective singles flights with perfect 3-0 records. The doubles pairing of Stammel and Marcella Cruz also went 3-0. Currently, Anna Ross and Holly Staff (doubles) are competing at the ITA All-American Championships.
Up Next: The Vanderbilt women’s tennis team will travel to Knoxville, Tennessee, to compete in the ITA Regional Championships Oct. 20-24.
